SCI Real Estate Investments has promoted Karen E. Kennedy to chief operating officer and Michael Wiacek to senior vice president, portfolio management. In Kennedy’s new role she will oversee SCI’s daily operations and all aspects of SCI’s real estate portfolio. Most recently, she served as chief portfolio officer, responsible for SCI’s portfolio and asset management teams. Kennedy has more than 23 years of experience with all phases of asset and project management, and has experience directing the management of properties on a national basis.
In Michael Wiacek’s new role as SCI’s senior vice president of portfolio management, he will be responsible for overseeing the performance of all multi-family and student housing assets, which currently includes over 9 million square feet of property. Since joining SCI, Wiacek served as senior portfolio manager where he was responsible for overseeing the performance of SCI’s student housing portfolio. -PR Newswire
