Integrity Mutual Funds Names Laura Anderson as COO

Integrity Mutual Funds announced that Laura K. Anderson has been promoted to chief operating officer of the mutual fund division for the company. In her new role, Ms. Anderson will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the mutual fund division. Ms. Anderson joined Integrity in 1999 as a fund accountant. She has also served as fund accounting manager and most recently held the position of mutual fund operations manager. -Business Wire


Raymond James & Associates Announces Management Changes

Raymond James & Associates announced the promotion of John Forney as national manager of the firm’s general governmental public finance department. Forney previously was manager of the Southeast business unit and managing director in the public finance group.

Raymond James also promoted David Sutton to manager of municipal structured finance. He previously was director of the firm’s quantitative services group where he specialized in structured municipal bond transactions and products such as swaps. -The Bond Buyer


Granite Global Ventures Announces Management Changes

Granite Global Ventures (GGV) announced that four partners from SIG Capital in Shanghai are joining the firm. Zhuo Fumin and Jessie Jin are joining GGV as managing partners, while Michael Kuan and Steve Chu are taking on roles as venture partners. The new GGV team members are partners in SIG Capital, which continues to manage Venture Star Shanghai, one of the first Sino-foreign joint ventures licensed to invest RMB-denominated venture capital in China, and now an affiliate of GGV.

Zhuo Fumin is a leading authority in China on corporate governance, capital markets, economic development and investment. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Focus Media,Shenyin Wanguo and China Enterprises. He previously held positions as chairman and CEO of Vertex China Investment, CEO, executive director and vice-chairman of Shanghai Industrial Holdings, and senior director of the Shanghai Office of Economic Reform.

Jessie Jin is an expert in bringing foreign direct investment in China. She currently serves as a director on the boards of Yadu Environment, a co-investment of GGV and SIG Capital, and Life Biomed. She was previously vice president of Vertex China Investment, and worked with Shanghai Industrial Holdings Limited, initially helping to arrange its listing in Hong Kong and then serving as head of its strategic investment department.

Michael Kuan started his investment career in the U.S. in mid-1980s with Capital Corporation of America where he served as an analyst, vice president and assistant to the chairman. Since the early 1990s, he has been investing in and providing strategic management services to Chinese companies in Hong Kong and China, including Chinadotcom, China Eagle Securities, China Cable Networks, CyberCity International, and Summit Lifesciences.

Steve Chu previously managed the Asian merger and acquisition business at UBS and the Asian corporate finance business at Banque Paribas. He was CFO of NetStar Group, and managed the corporate finance department and then the direct investment activities of CEF Capital. -PR Newswire

H. James Blakeslee to Join Fred Alger

Fred Alger Management announced the hiring of H. James Blakeslee as senior vice president, director of national accounts for Fred Alger & Company. In his new role, Mr. Blakeslee will lead an effort to develop and expand relationships with Alger’s existing and new distribution partners. BB&T Announces Executive Changes

BB&T has named Bobby Blakley as president of its Buckhead-based North Atlanta Region and Derek Lane as president of its Peachtree City-based South Atlanta Region. Blakley, who joined BB&T in 1988, has served as president of the South Atlanta Region since 2005. Lane, who joined BB&T in 1987, has served as senior credit officer for its Atlanta area operations since 2002.

The company also announced that Tom Findlay will succeed Lane as senior credit officer for BB&T’s metro Atlanta area. Findlay joined BB&T in 1999 as a business services officer in Atlanta. He also has served as problem loan administrator and regional credit officer for metro Atlanta. -PR Newswire


Bond Companies Appoints Mark Bachli as Principal

Mark Bachli, senior vice president of project management for Bond Companies, has been named a principal of the firm, effective immediately. Bachli, who joined Bond Companies in 2002, has experience in management of large scale commercial developments.

Berggruen Announces New Members

Berggruen Holdings announced that it is to expand its portfolio into the international agriculture business. The firm has assembled a team to examine agricultural investment opportunities worldwide, having already acquired grain farms in Australia.

Members of the management team will comprise Chris Henderson in Australia, Chuck Carlson in the U.S. and Yigal Zemah in Israel. Progressive Names Larry Bloomenkranz as CMO

Progressive announced the appointment of Larry Bloomenkranz as chief marketing officer effective April 28, 2008. Mr. Bloomenkranz, 50, joins Progressive from United Parcel Service (UPS). At UPS, he went on to become director of international brand communications before assuming the position of vice president of brand management, advertising and sponsorships. In that role, he was responsible for global brand strategy, identity and advertising, as well as enterprise-wide sponsorships and events. He received his bachelor’s of science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Lawrence G. Ryan Joins ColeTaylorBank

ColeTaylorBank announced that Lawrence G. Ryan has joined as executive vice president of commercial banking. Ryan is a 27-year veteran of LaSalle Bank, where he focused on developing the market for financing the needs of closely held businesses.
