Morgan Stanley announced the promotion of Leslie Menkes to head of onshore private wealth management for Asia. In his new role at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Menkes will oversee strategic expansion initiatives for the company’s private wealth management division across the region, including new markets such as India where operations will be launched soon, and other key Asian markets.
In addition, Mr. Menkes will resume his responsibilities as head of client solutions, providing senior management oversight for Morgan Stanley’s managed products and capital markets businesses. A 20-year veteran of Morgan Stanley, he will continue to be based in Singapore. Succeeding Mr. Menkes as head of private wealth management for South-east Asia and Australia will be Su-Shan Tan. She rejoins Morgan Stanley from Citi Private Bank, where she was head for Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei.
