JPMorgan Chase & Co. Appoints Norma Corio

JPMorganJPMorgan Chase & Co. tapped Norma Corio, a 26-year veteran of the firm, as its treasurer. Corio was most recently head of restructuring in the investment banking division. In her new role, Corio will report to executive vice president Don McCree and join chief financial officer Michael Cavanagh’s finance leadership team. She will manage the firm’s capital, balance sheet, liquidity and funding.

As head of restructuring, Corio worked on the workouts of GMAC Financial’s Residential Capital and Chrysler. Corio replaces Mark Kleinman, who left JPMorgan in June to join hedge fund Marathon Asset Management. Mary Ellen Egbert will take over as head of restructuring and report to Andy O’Brien and Jim Casey, co-heads of leveraged finance.

In other JPMorgan personnel news, Dheeraj Verma, an executive director and power M&A banker, departed last week to join private equity firm Quantum Energy Partners, a source familiar with the situation confirmed with IDD. Verma will step into his new role as head of power investments at Quantum, which has offices in Houston and Albany, Texas, in October. He is relocating to Houston from New York and will report to S. will VanLoh Jr., Quantum co-founder and managing partner.-Investment Dealers Digest
