Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Makes Appointment

The board of trustees of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota announced that Patrick Geraghty has been named president and CEO, to succeed Dr. Mark W. Banks, the organization’s current CEO. Geraghty will be joining Blue Cross in October 2008. He most recently served as senior vice president of the service division of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, a health plan with 3.6 million members. Dr. Mark Banks, who has served as CEO of Blue Cross since 2000, will be retiring after 23 years of service.-PR Newswire
