Societe Generale Announces Executive Changes

Societe Generale has appointed Francis Repka as chief country officer for Germany, replacing Charles Pierron. Mr. Repka previously headed the fixed income, currency and commodity division for Asia excluding Japan. He will be based in Frankfurt, Germany and will report to Eric Bellaiche, head of corporate coverage for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The company has appointed Mr. Pierron as chief country officer for Societe Generale in Korea, replacing Pierre-Yves Grimaud who moves on to a new position in retail banking outside France. Mr. Pierron will be based in Seoul, South Korea and will report to De Doan Tran, head of Societe Generale for Asia-Pacific.

Benoit Riehl has been named as chief country officer for Austria, replacing Philippe Chasse who moves on to the Societe Generale Group’s human resources division. Mr. Riehl was previously head of the media and telecom sector for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He will be based in Vienna, Austria and will also report to Mr. Bellaiche.-Datamonitor NewsWire
