Barclays has appointed Zhi Zhong Qiu as Asia-Pacific vice chairman and chairman for Greater China of its investment banking unit. Qiu was previously ABN Amro NV’s China chairman and Asia vice chairman until April. Based in Hong Kong, Qiu will be responsible for the development and management of senior client relationships and providing coverage for financial institutions, government agencies and corporate in terms of advisory, capital raising and risk management. He will report to Robert Morrice, chairman of Barclays Asia and the Asia-Pacific head of investment banking.
