The ACE Group announced the appointment of Michael Furgueson to president, multinational client group, ACE Overseas General.
In this newly created role, Mr. Furgueson will be responsible for leading the company’s commercial property and casualty insurance capabilities targeted to large multinational clients based outside North America.
Based in New York and reporting to John Keogh, chief executive officer, ACE Overseas General, Mr. Furgueson will work with company’s international product line and regional management to deliver the company’s insurance products and services tailored to the unique and often complex needs of multinational companies based in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia Pacific. He will also coordinate the service capabilities of ACE’s international network for the benefit of multinational clients based in North America.
Mr. Furgueson brings more than 25 years of diverse experience in the property and casualty insurance industry to his new role. He had been executive vice president, international commercial and multinational lines, since 2007.
Mr. Furgueson joined ACE in 2002 as executive vice president, financial lines. In 2004, he was named president and chief operating officer, ACE Europe, and oversaw the expansion of ACE into new territories, including Switzerland and Poland, and the introduction of new products throughout the European region.
