Innovation Advisors announced the opening of a new Silicon Valley office headed by managing director Greg Kouvelas.
Mr. Kouvelas will continue to specialize in the convergence of data, voice and video in systems, software and media, with a particular interest in cloud computing, while expanding the firm’s Silicon Valley team and sector focus.
Mr. Kouvelas’ investment banking career began at the Chicago Corporation (ABN Amro) in 1989, and then continued with Robertson Stephens and ING Barings Furman Selz in the mid and late ’90s. Prior to joining Innovation Advisors, he also served as VP of corporate development at Lutris Technologies, in Silicon Valley. He began his technology career at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) in the MIS group and later its strategic services group.
Innovation Advisors also announced the promotion of David Yaches and Raphael Garfield from vice president to director.
Mr. Yaches and Mr. Garfield have worked in the technology investment banking industry for more than ten years and are based in the firm’s New York office, which focuses on serving the IT services, software, and media markets.
Prior to joining Innovation Advisors, Mr. Yaches began his career at Greenwood Partners, then became an analyst at Broadview Int’l (Jeffries).
Mr. Garfield began working as an associate in investment banking in the banking technology group at Credit Suisse First Boston and then became a contributing writer on an insiders’ guide to the banking industry for the Vault. -PR Newswire
