Hawk Associates announced the appointment of Wall Street veteran Peter J. D’Agostino as president of AMI Research, a wholly-owed financial research division of Hawk.
In his new role at Hawk, D’Agostino will also open the company’s New York office.
D’Agostino started his career as an investment advisor with AXA Financial where, among other duties, he taught monthly investment classes to the firm’s 100 plus investment advisors and managers. He also created and ran a fixed income department and built a large book of business. He was subsequently hired as a senior equity research analyst in biotechnology by Sidoti. He was hired as director of research by Ethanol Capital Management in Tucson, AZ where he restructured the research department and co-launched and managed the firm’s Opportunistic Value Fund. Most recently, as a director at Sidoti, he organized the company’s highly successful and first ever microcap investor conference in New York. -Business Wire
