CBRE Group announced that it has named Robert E. Sulentic, president of the company, to the position of chief executive officer as of December 1, 2012. He succeeds Brett White, who will remain on the board of directors and as a member of its executive and acquisition committees.
Sulentic serves as president of CBRE, with all business lines reporting to him. In 2009, he also served as the company’s chief financial officer. Earlier, he served as group president for CBRE’s EMEA, Asia Pacific, and development services businesses. He began his career in 1984 with Trammell Crow Company (which merged with CBRE in late 2006) as an industrial leasing agent in Houston, Texas. Throughout the next 23 years he served in various positions within the organization in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Texas, including project partner, divisional partner, managing director and CFO.
