In this new regional role, Solway will be instrumental in developing a strong Asia-Pacific equity financing business. His primary focus will be to review and expand BNY Mellon’s local distribution channels, enhance and develop the firm’s equity financing product lines. He will also partner with colleagues in the broader global collateral services team to deliver collateral solutions to Asian institutional investors. He will also join BNY Mellon’s Asia-Pacific operating committee. He will report to Robert Chiuch, managing director, global head of equity finance in New York.
Solway has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and has worked at several leading global financial institutions before joining BNY Mellon including Macquarie Bank, HSBC Securities and Nomura International.
The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation has named Fred DiCocco as head of sales & relationship management, treasury services, for Asia-Pacific. He will assume the role on December 1, 2012 and will also join the company’s Asia-Pacific executive committee on this date.
DiCocco will continue to be based in Hong Kong and will report to Alan Verschoyle-King, global head – sales & client management, treasury services.
