HSBC Appoints Guil Silva and Martin Tricaud

HSBC has announced the appointment of Guil Silva as head of global markets and Thailand treasurer, effective immediately. He succeeds Panya Chanyarungrojn.

Silva joined HSBC in 2001 and worked in London and Madrid as an interest-rate trader and in institutional as well as corporate sales, before becoming head of global markets for Iberia in 2009. -The Nation (Thailand)

HSBC Korea reported that Martin Tricaud has been appointed to chief executive officer, effective March 25, 2013.

Tricaud succeeds Matthew Deakin, who will take on the post of chief executive officer at HSBC’s Bahrain unit.

Tricaud has worked for the global banking and market sector of the parent HSBC Group. He also engaged in corporate banking and investment financing in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. -The Korea Herald
