McGraw Hill Financial, Inc. Appoints Douglas Peterson

McGraw Hill Financial, Inc. appointed Douglas Peterson as president and chief executive officer of the company, effective November 1, 2013. He was also elected a member of the company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately. Peterson is currently president of Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services. Peterson is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience in financial services, including chief operating officer of Citibank, N. A. Peterson currently serves on the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s Systemic Resolution Advisory Committee, the Institute of International Finance’s Market Monitoring Group, the Board of Advisors of Wharton Financial Institutions Center, the Kravis Leadership Institute, and the Board of Trustees of Claremont McKenna College. He will succeed Harold (Terry) McGraw III, currently Chairman, president and chief executive officer of the company. McGraw will continue as Chairman of the Board of Directors.  -PR Newswire
