American Century Investment Management, Inc. named Victor Zhang as a chief investment officer for the company. Zhang comes from Wilshire Funds Management in Los Angeles, where he was president and chief investment officer. Zhang will be based in Kansas City, and will oversee American Century’s equity investment management.
American Century Investment Management, Inc. named David MacEwen as a chief investment officer for the company. The two investment executives will share responsibilities for overseeing the fund company’s $137 billion in assets.The co-executives will manage about 150 investment professionals based in American Century’s offices in Kansas City, Mountain View, Calif., New York and London. Both men have also been appointed to the fund company’s senior management committee. MacEwen takes on a broader leadership role in heading up the company’s global fixed income operations. He joined American Century in 1991 and has been the company’s chief investment officer for fixed income strategies since 2001. They will replace Enrique Chang. -The Kansas City Star
