Deutsche Bank Securities announced that Dean Keller will join the firm’s natural resources group as a managing director, focusing on the power and utilities sector. He will be based in New York, reporting to Kirk Andrews and Frank Kinney, co-heads of power and utilities corporate coverage in the Americas.
Keller will join Deutsche Bank in early August from Entergy, where he was an executive vice president and CFO for Enexus Energy for the past two years.
Deutsche Bank announced that Henry Cai will join the bank as chairman of corporate finance in Asia.
Cai, who will join on Oct. 4, was also named head of the corporate and investment bank in China and will become part of the Asia Pacific executive committee. He will be based in Hong Kong and report to Robert Rankin, Deutsche Bank’s chief executive officer in the Asia-Pacific region.
Cai was most recently Asia chairman of investment banking at Zurich-based UBS.
UBS AG announced that its Asia Pacific investment banking head has resigned, and announced fresh appointments. Rob Rankin, who has led the franchise across the region since 2003, has resigned to spend more time with his family. Rankin, who moved to Hong Kong in 2000 as head of the tech, media and telecom banking team, became co-head of Asia investment banking with Peter Burnett in 2003, and sole head of the group in the following year.
