Jones Lang Lasalle announced the appointment of David Macadam as head of retail division, a newly created business unit in the MENA region. This newly established division will provide development advisory, leasing and management services to all retail clients throughout the region.

Macadam has over 28 years experience in the commercial, residential, mixed-use and retail real estate industry. He has completed projects throughout the Middle East and Canada. Grubb & Ellis Hires Joel Kreider

Grubb & Ellis has hired Joel Kreider as vice president.

Kreider will help lead Grubb & Ellis’ industrial group out of its downtown Pittsburgh office.

Kreider, 52, joins Grubb & Ellis after working the past six years as a general partner for Imperial Business Park. He has served as president and broker of record for Tartan Realty, the exclusive leasing agent for the Park, where he directed its development and leased it to full occupancy. He also has worked for Oxford Development and Langholz Wilson & Associates, the predecessor to what is now known as Langholz Wilson Ellis.

Weingarten Realty Investors Promotes Patty Bender, Joe Shafer, Bill Goeke, Frank Rollow, Candy Tillack, Gary Wankum, Chris Byrd, Lee Brody and Miles Sanchez

Weingarten Realty Investors announced the following promotions.

Patty Bender has been promoted to executive vice president and director of leasing.

Bender joined Weingarten in 1982, and was promoted to her recent role of senior vice president/director of leasing in 2004.

Joe Shafer has been promoted to senior vice president and chief accounting officer.

Shafer is responsible for all accounting related functions and cash management.

Shafer joined WRI in 1995 as Controller and was promoted to vice president/CAO in 1999. Prior to joining WRI, he was a partner at Deloitte & Touche.

Bill Goeke has been promoted to senior vice president and property management.

Goeke joined Weingarten in 2004 as vice president and director of property management. For over the past five years, he has assumed responsibility of risk management and JV asset management. Federal Realty Investment Trust announced that Edward Senenman has joined the Trust to source investment opportunities in the Northeast Region.

Mr. Senenman will be based in Manhattan and be responsible for acquiring high-quality retail properties that meet Federal Realty’s investment criteria in the Trust’s Northeast region, which extends from Boston to Philadelphia.

Prior to joining the Trust, Mr. Senenman served as vice president of acquisitions for Kimco Realty where he was involved in the acquisition of high-end shopping centers.

Federal Realty Investment Trust also announced that Lee Anne Klemyk has joined the Trust to oversee the leasing of the Trust’s New England portfolio.

Ms. Klemyk will be based out of Federal Realty’s Boston office in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Before joining the Trust, Ms. Klemyk served as vice president of leasing for New England Development, where she specialized in leasing space for large-format retail tenants. -PR Newswire

Robert F. Black Joins Grubb & Ellis

Black is a 35-year industry veteran with experience in office leasing and owner representation. Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis, he was principal and chief operating officer of Black & Company, a commercial real estate brokerage firm he founded in 1996. Previously, Black was a vice president with CB Richard Ellis from 1981 to 1996, where he was recognized as the company’s top producer in the Central Jersey office in 1989 and 1991.

Jones Lang Lasalle Appoints Mike Ellis and Brian Connolly

Jones Lang Lasalle has named Mike Ellis as director of its Mid-Atlantic market.

Ellis is currently responsible for agency leasing in D.C. as well as JLL’s national agency brokerage in North and South America. He will replace David McGarry who is now JLL’s director of Markets East.

Ellis joined JLL in 1997 when it merged with Jones Lang Wooton.

Jones Lang Lasalle also added Brian Connolly as a vice president on the leasing team.

Connolly previously served as a vice president with Richards Barry Joyce & Partners.
