Credit Suisse Group Appoints Eddy Sze and Richard Wong

Credit Suisse Group announced the appointment of senior bankers Eddy Sze and Richard Wong to strengthening its Greater China private banking team who will further grow its client-servicing capabilities and business.

Sze has been appointed a managing director and market Leader for Greater China, effective from July 16, 2012. He will be based in Hong Kong reporting to Anna Wong, market area head Greater China.

Song Kun, Jimmy Lee and Yee Chin Lit Join Credit Suisse Group

Credit Suisse Group announced that Song Kun has joined Credit Suisse Private Banking in Hong Kong as a managing director and senior client partner for Greater China, reporting to Anna Wong, market area head Greater China.

Song joined from Merrill Lynch (Asia Pacific), where she was managing director of investments for the private banking and investment group, responsible for originating and maintaining ultra-high-net-worth client relationships for the China market and advising on multi-asset class investment strategy including capital markets solutions. Prior to that, she was an executive director of investments at Goldman Sachs Asia.

Jimmy Lee has re-joined Credit Suisse as a managing director, responsible for the integration of Clariden Leu’s business, following the completion of Credit Suisse’s legal merger with Clariden Leu on April 2, 2012. In this role, he reports to Francesco de Ferrari, Credit Suisse’s head of private banking Asia Pacific.

Lee brings 25 years of banking experience across Asia. Most recently, he was CEO Asia Pacific at Clariden Leu from 2009 onwards, and before that, head of Southeast Asia/South Asia at Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management and also regional marketing director for Southeast Asia, Australasia and international wealth management at Credit Suisse’s Private Banking business.

Yee Chin Lit has also re-joined Credit Suisse as a managing director and sector head in the Indonesia market, reporting to Johanes Oeni, market Leader for Indonesia.

Yee was previously a managing director and head of Southeast Asia at Clariden Leu and, before that, managing director and group manager for Southeast Asia at Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management in Singapore. Credit Suisse Names James L. Amine, Jamie Welch and Osmar Abib

James L. Amine took over as sole head of Credit Suisse’s global investment banking department on Thursday, replacing Luigi de Vecchi.

Amine has been working at Credit Suisse in various roles since 1997. He began his career as a lawyer with Cravath, Swaine & Moore.

The bank announced that Jamie Welch, the global head of energy, was named head of the investment banking department in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Welch will be based in London but will continue to run the energy franchise together with Osmar Abib, who was named co-head of the energy group. Abib will remain global head of oil and gas. -Dealbook.NYTimes.com

Credit Suisse Group Appoints Peter Antico, Guiseppe Monarchi, Wenceslao Bunge, Philippe Cerf, Jonathan Grundy, Mark Echlin, Eric Richard, Carl-George Bauer-Schlichtegroll, Stuart Upcraft, Chris Corson, Todd Sandoz and Ben Shooter

Credit Suisse Group announced that Peter Antico will join as managing director and head North America rates within the bank’s fixed income department, effective January 1, 2012. He will report into Jon Kinol, global head of rates for Credit Suisse.

Antico brings more than two decades of experience in interest rate products. He comes to Credit Suisse from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was most recently head of G10 and Latin American FX trading. -RTTNews

As part of a planned reorganization of its investment bank under a new structure in 2012, Guiseppe Monarchi, current head of European M&A, will become co-head, alongside Wenceslao Bunge, of the group overseeing the real estate, consumer, retail, healthcare, technology, media and telecoms sectors. He will also become co-head of TMT with Philippe Cerf, in addition to his existing M&A role.

The energy and industrials corporate finance groups will also be reorganised, under ex-Merrill Lynch bankers Jonathan Grundy and Mark Echlin, while the financial institutions group will be managed by Eric Richard and Carl-George Bauer-Schlichtegroll.

Stuart Upcraft, head of UK M&A, will assume the role of co-head of UK investment banking, alongside Sebastian Grigg, who has led the business since 2007.

All the appointments will be effective on January 1, 2012.

Credit Suisse also named Chris Corson and Todd Sandoz to lead lead its new global currencies and emerging markets group, which merged the firm’s currency and fixed-income businesses.

Credit Suisse Group has re-opened its brokerage business in Warsaw.

The brokerage team will be led by Tomasz Bardzilowski, who joins as a managing director and head of the Polish equities business.

Bardzilowski joins from UniCredit corporate and investment banking in Poland, where he was most recently deputy chief executive and head of central and eastern European equities. He had previously worked in Credit Suisse’s Warsaw office in equity research until 2003.

Bardzilowski is joined by Jarek Tomczynski, who was previously deputy head of global equity sales at UniCredit CAIB Securities in London.

Credit Suisse announced that Vedika Bhandarkar has been appointed as a managing director and vice chairman, India, and head of the investment banking department and global markets solutions group in India.

Chris Young Joins Credit Suisse

Credit Suisse Group has hired five fixed-income specialists in Moscow.

Three join from Deutsche Bank, led by Valery Pushnya, who was named a managing director and head of trading for Russia and other former Soviet states, along with Alexander Danilenko and Anastasia Shamina.

Both Danilenk and Shamina will report to Pushnya.

Credit Suisse Group Appoints Rahul Chawla

Michael Ingelog Will Join Credit Suisse Group

Credit SuisseCredit Suisse Group announced that Michael Ingelog will join the company as chief executive officer of the Nordic region.

Michael will report to Eric Varvel, CEO of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region and joins in January 2010. He will initially be based in London and will relocate to the Nordic region over time. He will be a member of the EMEA Operating Committee.

As CEO of the Nordic region, Michael will be responsible for the company’s business in the Nordic region across private banking, investment banking and asset management divisions.
