Evercore Partners announced that Steve Wellington has agreed to join the firm’s investment banking business as a senior managing director based in London, focusing on financial restructuring, distressed M&A and debt advisory.
Wellington will work closely with industry coverage bankers, as well as the restructuring team in New York, which is led by David Ying.

Evercore Partners has launched Evercore Wealth Management (EWM) with Jeff Maurer, former chairman and chief executive officer of U.S. Trust Corporation, and a seasoned team of portfolio managers and wealth planners. Anthony Fry joins from Lehman Brothers, where he was head of UK investment banking and chairman of the media group and subsequently senior advisor.
