Grubb & Ellis Company announced that Dylan Taylor, executive vice president, president, global client services, has resigned to accept another position. The company is currently working with Taylor to ensure a smooth transition. Taylor’s responsibilities will be divided among the business line leaders within Global Client Services. Taylor joined Grubb & Ellis in 2005. He was named to his current position in 2008.
Grubb & Ellis Company has also promoted Warren Amason, Eric Berkman, Steven Gichner and Bruce McNair to the position of executive vice president from senior vice president. Amason, who has been with Grubb & Ellis since 1984, manages suburban leasing and sales efforts in Northern Virginia. A 23-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, Berkman joined Grubb & Ellis in 1999 and specializes in investment sales in the D.C. metro area. Gichner, who joined Grubb & Ellis in 1999, facilitates the acquisition and disposition of institutional-quality office and industrial assets in the Mid-Atlantic and secondary markets on behalf of private and institutional investors. McNair joined Grubb & Ellis in 2006 and has more than 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry as a practitioner, manager, investor and owner of investment property and commercial real estate service companies. He co-founded a highly respected Washington, D.C. based brokerage company, which was acquired by St. Joe Co. and became an integral member of GVA Advantis. He remained with the company for seven years and was among the top five producers every year.

Grubb & Ellis announced that it has named Matthew A. Engel as senior vice president, accounting and finance and chief accounting officer, effective immediately. Engel, 41, will have responsibility for the company’s corporate accounting, tax, financial risk management and treasury functions. He reports to Richard W. Pehlke, executive vice president and chief financial officer. Engel joins Grubb & Ellis from H&R Block, where he spent seven years in various senior finance leadership positions. Most recently, he was senior vice president, chief financial officer of the company’s mortgage services segment, where he oversaw the finance, treasury, accounting, business planning and corporate strategy functions.
