Wells Fargo Announces Executive Appointments

wells-fargo.jpgWells Fargo announced that eight veteran industry professionals have joined its equity research and equities sales & trading divisions. Joining the Wells Fargo equity research team and reporting to Sam Pearlstein and Todd Wickwire, co-heads of equity research: Gary Lieberman joins as managing director and senior analyst in the health care sector covering hospitals, dialysis providers, respiratory therapy, laboratories, inpatient rehabs, and long-term acute care. He is a 17-year Wall Street veteran and joins Wells Fargo from Stanford Group where he led health care services research.

Tim W. Willi joins as managing director and senior analyst covering the transactional processing and financial technology sectors. He has 15-years of Wall Street experience and joins Wells Fargo from Avondale Partners where he led transaction processing and financial technology research effort.

Joining Wells Fargo’s equities sales & trading group and reporting to Chris Bartlett, managing director, head of equities sales and trading: Matthew Brown joins as managing director, head of cash trading and Wachovia automated trading solutions, based in New York. Wells Fargo Wealth Management Group Announces Appointment of Six Regional Managing Directors

The regional leaders will report to Stan Gregor, head of the Eastern markets for the Wells Fargo Wealth Management Group. In this newly created role, for the first time on the East Coast, one senior leader will have direct responsibility for all wealth management disciplines in each region, including private banking, credit, bank brokerage, trust, investment management, planning and insurance services.

Reporting to Gregor are John Dowd will be regional managing director for the Northeast Region, including Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York, based in New York City. Dowd previously served as wealth management director for Wachovia Wealth Management in the Northeast Region.

John Duchala will be regional managing director for the Penn/Del Region, including Delaware and Pennsylvania, based in Philadelphia. Previously Duchala served as senior regional manager for Wells Fargo Wealth Management Group in New York.

Wells Fargo & Company Announces Executives Appointments

wells-fargo.jpgWells Fargo & Company has announced that it has named two top executives. The bank announced that it has appointed Jerome Byers as its Atlanta regional president. He had been a retail banking executive for Wachovia’s Atlanta and Jacksonville markets. Similarly, Paul Menk was named as manager for Greater Georgia business banking division. Menk was previously a regional president for Wachovia’s Greater Georgia region.

The company has also named John Sotoodeh, a 19-year veteran of the company, regional president for Los Angeles metro community banking. He will be responsible for 5,200 team members and 265 banking stores, with $29 billion in deposits, in Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara and western San Bernardino counties. Sotoodeh succeeds Shelley Freeman, who was recently named regional president of the company’s community bank in Florida.

The company also announced that Lisa Stevens was named regional president of California community banking, which will continue to be headquartered in Los Angeles. She succeeds Laura Schulte, who is heading the company’s community banking operations on the east coast, based in Charlotte, N.C.
